Goal 3: Do it at scale to really change the system.
We work with global brands to provide life-extension services such as Repair, ReNew, and ReMake programs. These programs not only help brands achieve circularity goals but also reduce waste and create meaningful jobs for skilled craftspeople.At the heart of our work is technology. The URC Repair Management platform is a SaaS solution that simplifies garment repair logistics for brands, making reuse and circularity more accessible and impactful.
Since our founding in 2022, we’ve grown rapidly, with operations in Amsterdam and London, a team of 40 FTEs, and a portfolio of 20+ global brands. Our platform is in its MVP phase and already serves 10+ brands. As we prepare to scale, we’re looking for a Product Owner to shape the next phase of our platform’s development.
Your Role as a Product Owner ?
As the Product Owner, you’ll take the lead in shaping the vision, roadmap, and execution of URC’s SaaS platform. Your focus will be on creating a platform that is not only highly functional but also delivers an exceptional user experience. You’ll work at the intersection of product leadership, UX design, and technical innovation to scale the platform and maximize its impact.
Your key responsibilities:
• Platform Vision & Strategy: Develop and refine the platform’s vision, ensuring it aligns with URC’s mission and user needs.
• User Experience Design: Collaborate with UX specialists to design intuitive, user-centric features. Conduct user research, map customer journeys, and oversee usability testing to enhance the platform’s usability.
• Roadmap Management: Own the product roadmap, prioritizing features based on impact, user feedback, and business objectives.
• Feature Development: Define detailed user stories and product features that balance technical feasibility with user satisfaction.
• Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with front-end and back-end teams to translate UX designs into functional, scalable solutions.
• Agile Product Development: Implement Agile and DevOps practices to ensure a short time-to-market and a stable, evolving product.
• Client and Stakeholder Communication: Act as the liaison between clients, development teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure the platform meets expectations.
• Continuous Improvement: Benchmark against industry peers and integrate the latest tech innovations into the platform’s evolution.
• Operations & Maintenance: Manage the platform’s daily operations, ensuring smooth functionality and prompt resolution of client issues.As a growing start-up with a strong impact mission, we value flexibility and adaptability. You’ll work across various functions and have the opportunity to grow with URC, driving both your professional goals and our mission forward.
What you will bring
Experience: 4–6 years of relevant experience, ideally in Product Ownership for SaaS platforms.
Education: Completed HBO or WO degree in a relevant field.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with coding and modern tech stacks, enabling effectivecollaboration with development teams.
UX Expertise: Proven track record in designing user-centric platforms, including skills in userresearch, journey mapping, wireframing, and usability testing.
Project Management: Strong skills in managing projects, roadmaps, and cross-functionalteams.
Soft Skills: High analytical ability combined with strong interpersonal communication skills.
Proactivity: Energetic, results-driven, and passionate about impact.
Start-Up Experience: Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment is a plus.
