Are you ready to make an impact? Help us Repair the Clothing industry!
Join the United Repair Centre!
Join URC on its mission to repair the clothing industry at scale. As the Head of Finance you will play a crucial role in defining the financial strategy and you will be responsible for all financial management of our internationally operating company.

Are you the financial power house we are looking for that will enable the founders to accomplish their mission. Are you highly talented, passionate about people and planet and have a proven track record?

About United Repair Centre
At United Repair Centre we consider ourselves to be social pioneers on a mission to repair the clothing industry, by putting people first, one garment at a time. We have three main goals in doing this:
Goal 1: To create job opportunities for people distanced to the labor market
Goal 2: To reduce textile waste
Goal 3: Do it at scale to really change the system

URC offers B2B clothing life-extension services such as Repair, ReNew and ReMake programmes. These programmes enable brands and retailers to achieve their circularity goals and comply with legislation. In this model, every item processed is less textile waste, less virgin items produced and a job for passionate craftspeople. URC is powered by Tech, the URC Repair Management platform is a SaaS platform that truly lowers the barrier for brands to join the re-use movement and enables them to create value out of it.
Founded in 2022, URC is now operating in Amsterdam and London, approx. 40 FTE in total and with a client portfolio of over 20 global A-brands. With the expectation of high market growth, URC is preparing to scale and become the market leader in its market segment.

What will you do?
As the Head of Finance you have an important role in managing the financial operations, overseeing budget and cashflow management. You will implement and monitor business control measures to optimize the overall performance and collect, consolidate and report on the main (financial) KPI’s. As you will work closely with the founders you will provide strategic direction for the overall long term strategy.
- Managing and steering day-to-day finance administration
- Budget management and forecasting
- Cashflow management and payment processes
- Business control and optimizing performance
- Finance and general performance reports
- Business case development and commercial terms

As we are a fast-growing company with Impact at heart, we are looking for someone who understands the balance between growth vs stability, impact vs results and focus vs opportunity driven. You will work closely with the founders and the other management team members. You will be able, over time, to build up your team and your own approach.

What you will bring
- You have at least 5+ years of relevant experience
- You have experience in a start/scale up is beneficial
- You have expertise in both financial and impact reporting
- You have experience with international business with multi-currency and tax regulations
- You are highly knowledgeable in financial management and business control
- You have both high analytical skills and great social skills
- You are pro-active and result-driven
- You have tons of energy and a strong passion for impact
- You have (some) light legal experience

What we will offer
- A good salary (MITT CAO) for your experience taking into account the stage of our company, with a range of €55-75K
- After a year of positive performance you will have the opportunity of ESOP (employee stock ownership plan)
- An inspiring environment with international collogues and the opportunity to create a positive impact at scale.
